This tool was launched at GDC 2018, the conference for videogame developers, with the goal of helping videogame programmers create more online competition. SAN FRANCISCO, California - GameOn is a new tool from Amazon that will help video game developers integrate competitive games with multiple players online and through any platform in an easier and faster way. And, beyond the winners taking home a digital title or prizes in the form of coins, for example, GameOn gives developers the ability to give away Amazon products. To encourage developers not to be afraid to create video games for eSport style competitions, GameOn will help them create leagues, invite more players, classify them and organize their competition calendar. In addition, GameOn helps developers customize the player experience based on location. Reggie Martin, the chief manager of the mobile gaming unit for Amazon, said developers can also give players permission to create their own competitions within the games. Amazon unveiled this new API, driven by its AWS cloud service, on the occasion of the GDC 2018 developer conference, which takes place in this city during this week. To show examples of the kind of games that can be developed with the help of GameOn, Amazon announced its first partners, which include nWay, Game Insight, Millennial Esports' Eden Games, Umbrella Games, Nazara, Mindstorm, Mokuni, Avix and GameCloud Studios.
