During the last six months, the official Nintendo biography put Mario as a former plumber. Fortunately, the company has given way.

A small detail caused a great controversy: the profession of Mario.
Mario is a plumber, right? Sure, but Mario does many things. He drives karts, plays golf, soccer, tennis. He is a type of Renaissance man. An apprentice of everything.
But Mario's Japanese biography for Mario seemed to suggest that Mario used to be a plumber. Which means he was no longer a plumber.
