Job Title: Social Media Manager Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Communications FLSA: Exempt

Job Summary:
The Indianapolis Indians seek a candidate to create and maintain a responsive and engaging social presence while implementing the organization’s communications and marketing strategies. The candidate will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers while promoting our brand.
Essential Functions:
· Oversee the implementation of team social media strategies to support ticket/corporate sales, marketing and communications incorporating Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.
· Maximize followers on all team controlled social media platforms, ensuring our voice is appropriate for each channel
· Build relationship with brand ambassadors to grow platforms (i.e. team, staff, media, platform influencers, etc.)
· Monitor social channels and engage with customers to resolve customer service issues and create positive PR opportunities
· Build reporting framework for all social insights to evaluate ROI on the various platforms
· Work in tandem with marketing and communications to ensure accuracy of internal and external communications
· Review new technologies, trends, tools and applications, while keeping the team at the forefront of developments in social media
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assist in maintaining internal planning calendars to ensure a constant supply of relevant content across all platforms
· Assist with game-day responsibilities including, but not limited to, in-game posting/monitoring and game presentation
· Provide a high-level of service and support to internal departments, partners and Indians fans
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related area of concentration and 2-3 years related experience preferably in baseball or collegiate sports. Applicants should have a demonstrated writing ability and strong knowledge of digital social media platforms and analytics. Project management and organization skills. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus structure (when eligible)
