We have an exciting opportunity for a
Production Control Intern
to join our Aircraft Systems Division. Under direct supervision, successfully chosen candidate will assist in many aspects of our Manufacturing Production Control team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for an undergraduate with strong academic performance and career interest in Manufacturing Production Planning, Economics, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
Assist Manufacturing Planners with forecasting and inventory level requirements
Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and cycle count.
Assist in issuing production orders through SAP.
Assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring the efficient movement of materials.
Assist with analyzing, planning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
Provide management with status of work in progress, material availability to ensure that materials are provided as needed.
Work on special projects related to inventory management.
Knowledge of, experience with, or coursework in inventory control, materials handling, and production planning.
Working on non-routine projects with general instruction and advanced projects with detailed instructions.
Participates in the day to day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of non-routine and advanced tasks.
Excellent computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access databases with large volume data analysis.
Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve non-routine problems.
Assists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams and charts.
Demonstrated and proven record of showing a sense of urgency and an excellent ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Driven and career minded with a desire to develop the production control and planning skills that are critical to a successful Production Planning/Supply Chain career.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications
Typically requires enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at a recognized college or university. Must possess:
(1) the ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately;
(2) the ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures;
(3) good communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals;
(4) the ability to work independently or in a team environment; and
(5) basic computer skills.
