Summary of position: Under the supervision of the Counsellor (Commercial-Ontario), provides general program assistance for the Ontario Office. This includes coordinating financial management and reporting, providing corporate services, preparing of and disseminating communications and reporting materials, managing the organisation of public commercial-related events, and supporting the overall promotion of Ontario-UK commercial relations. Performs other duties as required.

Education: A levels or equivalent
Experience: The candidate must have minimum 2 years recent* experience working in an office environment in an administrative support or program assistant capacity.
*Recent experience is defined as within last 4 years.

Candidates must also meet the Rated Requirements shown below, which will be assessed through any of the following: written test, oral communication, interview and reference checks:

- Competency in social media and media support
- Ability to work in French (written and/or spoken)
- University degree from a recognized university
- Previous event organisation experience
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting

Operational Requirements: Willing and able to work extended hours if required, which includes late evenings
Condition(s) of Employment: Hours of work will be 37.5 per week, worked Monday to Friday at time to be arranged by the supervisor. Any job offer is subject to receipt of satisfactory employment and character references and the ability to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Reliability security screening (including a criminal record check).
Copies of educational qualifications will be required at the interview stage of the process. Successful candidate must have a valid passport and the required documentation allowing the right to work in the UK. Documentation will be required.
