Essential Responsibilities:
The Position:
As the Test Engineering Intern, you will be joining a fast paced, energetic, creative environment as part of the GE-Winnipeg team. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of software development. You will gain exposure supporting the team in testing hardware and assist the greater organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant
Nature of work:
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
• Develop, document and execute test plans to evaluate design options and products
• Test products to defined levels of acceptance and coverage
• Develop software for hardware (board level, module level) testing
• Work and interface with engineers of different disciplines
• Carry out related tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:

Skills:
• Individuals with less than 2 years of work experience (outside of co-op/internship/summer work experience);
• Knowledge and experience in C++
• Competency in scripting languages such as Python and Shell
• Knowledge of embedded and embedded Linux system
• Knowledge of IP networks, SNMP and managed network devices
• Experience working with and debugging electronics
Education:
• University Degree in course of completion in Engineering (Electrical or Computer) or equivalent related discipline
• Open to current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term.
