5-year-old girl's dream of wedding 'realized' ahead of surgery
This photo shoot for a make-believe wedding could be the happiest and sweetest moment for 5-year-old Sophia, a girl born with a genetic heart defect.
It was believed she wouldn't live beyond her second birthday, but Sophia Elyssa Chiappalone from Connecticut, the US is about to have her fourth open heart surgery and is continuing to live her miracle life.
Sophia had a dream of “marrying” her best friend, Hunter. To help make her wish come true, Sophia’s mother, Kristy, staged a wedding photo shoot for the two kids after she got the permission of Hunter’s mom.
The two kids dressed up in wedding costumes and had fun getting their photos taken.
