Music fans in Ghana are mourning the passing of dancehall/Afrobeats artist, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known by the stage name Ebony. She was widely known for her hit songs “Maame,” “Poison” and “Kupe”. Ebony is said to have died in a road accident, late Thursday evening on the Sunyani-Kumasi road in Ghana. The 20-year-old musician reportedly died alongside two military officers when their car had a head-on collision with another vehicle. Tributes continue to pour in from her colleagues and fans including President Nana Akufo-Addo and former president John Mahama.
